Who should Champion the LEAN Six Sigma deployment within a company?
A:
Even though champions at all levels are critical to deploying and sustaining a
LEAN Six Sigma initiative, the Champion should initially come from top
management to communicate credibility within the organization from the start.
This Champion must be well respected in the organization, understand the
company’s key business drivers, know how to challenge the system and be able
to remove encountered obstacles. Most
of the LEAN Six Sigma Champions come from operations, finance, quality or office
of the CEO.
