We are membrane,
bio-membrane, filtration and applications thereof technology, engineering
and manufacturing medical device, pharmaceutical consultants. We have
acquired extensive knowledge in the manufacture, evaluation and application
of membrane and filtration technologies since 1980. Typical products
include: blood gas and pH analyzers; oxygenators; kidney dialysis;
heart/lung bypass devices; electrodes; fluid sensors; drug delivery
systems; smoke and bacterial membrane devices; various venting filters, and
self-pregnancy test products.
We have completed
projects that involved the evaluation of various types of membranes and
their integration into a number of new products. These include
gas-permeable/ion-impermeable as well as gas/ion permeable membranes,
tortuous and capillary-pore microfiltration membranes.
We have worked with a
number of manufacturers and succeeded in improving membrane variability by
identifying and controlling key process variables such as concentration of
utilized solvents and surfactants, pot life, temperature and residence
time.
We have developed
protocols and completed evaluation, stability studies of products that
contained membrane components. We have utilized such tests as bubble-point,
bacteria retention and plugging/throughput.
We have worked with
material membranes that include polytetrafluoroethylene, polyethylene,
polypropylene, polycarbonate, polyester, polyvinylidene fluoride and
cellulose nitrate.
